Design Charrette

Participants: School of Interior Design, 120 students and faculty
This spring, Interior Design students participated in a design charette sponsored by Frost-Barber, Interface, and Benjamin Moore. Students were divided into teams and given a set amount of time to develop a concept, theme, floor and ceiling plans, furniture specifications, materiality, perspectives and diagrams. Each group presented before a panel of judges for comments and critiques based on their concepts, space planning, presentation, and overall impression.
Thanksgiving Potluck

Participants: School of Interior Design, 120 students and faculty
In order to celebrate the conclusion of final projects, IDSO organized a school-wide potluck lunch. Each grade level was assigned a meal category and encouraged to bring a dish to the potluck. Group bonding activities, such as charades, candy cane gram sales, and giving out participation prizes, were conducted to bring together students and faculty from all grade levels.
ID Night Out

Participants: 75-100 members and guests
The purpose of this social is to bring together students from all grade levels to form a stronger bond while going through the program, that will hopefully be continued post-graduation. This event featured a performance from local band, Ship of Fools, as well as a photo booth from Envog Photography. We created a custom Snapchat filter and photo booth template for the event.
