Studio IV
Interior Design Studio IV is an advanced design studio with special emphasis on research, creative inquiry, process, human behavior, and design development of interior environments. This course provided students the opportunity to conduct preliminary research and apply research findings to design solutions, develop creative and critical thinking skills, experiment with different modes of representation, explore complex interior design problems, and propose innovative solutions. A valuable component of the course was to consider the role and value of designing a project that is of service to a community.
AQUIEM
AQUIEM® is a purified water product with selected essential minerals that is specifically crafted for brewing tea and coffee. Third year Interior Design students partnered with AQUIEM® founders to improve their current office spaces located at LSU’s AgCenter Incubator; a facility which helps to launch and grow businesses and stimulate economic growth in Louisiana. Students were responsible for developing an exciting “Google-like” environment that was also feasible with AQUIEM’s starting out budget.
